Skype is one of the premier free VoIP, instant messaging and video calling services available. However normally the free calling service only extends to calling between Skype members. Calling to other numbers requires buying Skype credit which can be used to call to international numbers* at reduced rates. Skype have initiated an offer allowing you to get unlimited free Skype credit for one month provided that you sign up to a free trial of a premium Skype account. You will have to provide payment details for the account, however provided you cancel the premium account before the free trial is up, you will not be charged.

How to get free Skype Credit- Steps

  1. Navigate to the Skype website offer page.
  2. Click on the “Claim Your Free Month” button.
  3. Enter your Skype username and password and click the “Sign me in” button to login to your Skype account. Alternatively sign in with your Microsoft or Facebook accounts by clicking on the relevant icon. If you do not have a Skype account then click on the “Create Account” tab and follow the directions to create a Skype profile.
  4. Designate the payment method you wish to be listed for the Premium account. This needs to be a credit card, PayPal or Skrill account. It will not be charged provided you cancel the Premium account within 27 days. Click the “Next” button.
  5. Enter the payment details, check the “I agree to the Skype Terms of Service” box, and click the “Next” button.
  6. Remember to cancel your premium account within 27 days or you will be charged $9.99 a month.
